Dopo il successo dell’edizione di settembre 2011, anche per questo anno è rinnovata la collaborazione tra A.N.G.E.L.O. e i McArthurGlen Designer Otulet per il Vintage Fashion Festival che in 5 tappe che toccheranno un po’ tutta l’Italia, porterà in giro il mondo del vintage di cui A.N.G.E.L.O. rappresenta uno dei punti di riferimento indiscussi. La collaborazione tra A.N.G.E.L.O. è McArthurGlen è una liaison particolarmente indovinata: entrambi attraverso l’estrema cura dei propri spazi di vendita, sia per quanto riguarda la qualità dell’architettura sia per la qualità dei marchi in offerta, creano un’esperienza unica per i loro clienti. Il Vintage Fashion Festival nasce sotto questi presupposti: 1500 pezzi vintage selezionati tra i capi e accessori della collezione A.N.G.E.L.O. saranno portati a spasso per la penisola su truck personalizzati e curati nei minimi dettagli. Anche la selezione di capi e accessori è esclusiva: abiti da donna e da uomo, dagli anni Quaranta alla fine degli anni Ottanta, per tutte le tasche ma tutti rigorosamente unici. Pezzi di griffes che hanno fatto la storia della moda come Balmain, Chanel, Dolce&Gabbana, Hermès, Issey Miyake, Lanvin, Emilio Pucci, Thierry Mugler, Yohji Yamamoto, ma anche di marchi che fanno parte della nostra storia più quotidiana come Levi Strauss. Nell’uno e nell’altro caso si tratta di veri e propri pezzi di storia della moda.
Ad accompagnare il Tour ci sarà l’installazione a cura dell’archivio A.N.G.E.L.O. “Il giro del mondo in Ottanta Foulard” un viaggio visuale attraverso un piccolo quadrato di stoffa capace di catturare luoghi, emozioni e storie e di restituirci un racconto che parla un linguaggio familiare potente e unificante. In esposizione una ricchissima collezione di foulard originali: pezzi autentici degli anni ’40, ’50 e ’60, provenienti dalle nazioni di tutto il mondo: un giro del mondo fotografato nei luoghi turistici in voga che s’imprimono nella memoria collettiva, tanto da farci riconoscere ad una sola occhiata posti che non abbiamo mai visitato, emozionandoci con ricordi di ricordi, veri o presi in prestito da romantici viaggiatori, non ha poi molta importanza (SM).

After the success of September 2011 edition, also for this year the collaboration between ANGELO and McArthur Glen Designer Outlet for the Vintage Fashion Festival has been confirmed. The festival will touch in 5 steps all the country, taking around the world of vintage in which ANGELO represents one of the undisputed benchmarks. The collaboration between A.N.G.E.L.O. and McArthurGlen is a successful liaison: both of them, through the extreme care of their retail spaces, either for the quality of architecture and the quality of the brands on offer, create a unique experience for their customers. The Vintage Fashion Festival starts from this point: 1500 vintage pieces selected from the A.N.G.E.L.O.’s collection will be led around Italy through customized trucks. The selection of clothes and accessories is exclusive: suits for men and gowns for women, from the 40s to the late 80s for all budgets, but everyone is completely unique. Pieces of brands that have made the history of fashion as Balmain, Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana, Hermès, Issey Miyake, Lanvin, Emilio Pucci, Thierry Mugler, Yohji Yamamoto, but also brands that are part of our everyday history as Levi Strauss. Accompanying the tour will be the installation by the ANGELO archive, “Around the World in Eighty scarf”, a visual journey through a small square of cloth capable to capture places, emotions and stories and give us back a tale in a unifying and powerful language. The exhibition will show a rich collection of original scarves: authentic pieces of the ’40s, ’50s and ’60s, from countries all around the world: a trip around the world photographed in popular tourist spots that are imprinted in the collective memory, so that us to recognize at a glance places we’ve never visited, moving us deeply with memories of memories, real or borrowed by romantic travelers, and that doesn’t have so much importance…
